Congratulations to Tamzin Mc Creesh in 2nd Year who was crowned overall winner in the 5th annual MAD Couture competition for 2023 with her own creation entitled Primadonna. Her outfit was made entirely out of newspapers to symbolise the power of the media in all aspects in today’s world. Tazmin took to the catwalk to the backing track of Marina and Diamonds ‘Primadonna’ and wowed the judges. This year two new awards were added to the competition – Most Congenial Contestant and the audience award – The great news is that Tamzin also won the Most Congenial Contestant Award as well! This was voted on by her fellow contestants as the one person who supported all others the most during the competition – Tamzin take a bow!

The Louis girls were out in full force at the competition on Sunday June 18th in The Spirit Store as Ellie Litchfield from TY was also strutting her stuff on the catwalk with her creation bringing us back to the 80’s – Well done Ellie. Grace Gonnelly from 3rd Year and a member of MAD Youth Theatre was stage manager on the night and was praised highly for all her hard work. Past pupil, former Deputy Head girl and Louis Ethos 2022 winner Lauren Boyle was also one of the judges. (having been a former MAD Couture contestant herself) We also had a few Louis girls in the audience supporting the girls and cheering them on including Grainne Connolly Klara Simic and Eve Gilmore. All in all a Louis Roar moment. Well done to all!
