‘Volleyball Referee Level 3’ Award: A first for St. Louis!
Volleyballs and whistles took over the sports hall at St. Louis last week as 14 students from TY and 5th Year participated in the first Volleyball Referee Award to run at our school.
Joe from Volleyball Ireland spent the day with students teaching them all the necessary theory and rules before students took charge of a game and put their theory into practice on court!
Lots of learning took place – mistakes were made, reflected on and with more practise (and plenty of fun!) improvements were quickly apparent.
Students then sat an exam with all successfully passing! Students are now able to referee junior and primary school matches and we wish them well in their future volleyball refereeing careers!
