Fifth Year.

Fifth Year is an exciting year in St Louis. Girls from TY mingle with others who have come straight from Third Year so there is a fresh feel to the class groups and an enthusiastic approach to studies given that the girls are now studying subjects of particular interest to them. Classes in specialist subjects can be quite small as every opportunity is given to the girls to optimise subject choices. While they will not always get their first four choices we make every effort to ensure the girls are studying the subjects they enjoy and feel passionately about.

The girls get the opportunity to visit some of the universities to learn more about courses on offer, and requirements for those courses. They may also get to visit the theatre for Irish French and English plays relevant to their courses and also have the opportunity to act as mentors for the first years in the guise of the Cairde programme.

At the end of Fifth Year the girls can apply for the role of Head Girl and Deputy Head Girl.
