We were delighted to welcome back Stephen Gunne and his Rotary colleague, PJ Gunne for the annual school heats of the Rotary Youth Leadership Challenge.

They interviewed six of our senior cycle students on their experiences and thoughts of leadership, from the personal to the global.
The standard this year was exceptionally high, and students were commended on their presentation and professionalism.

Following due consideration, interviewers chose Róisín Caraher (5I), for her excellent interview. Well done Róisín! We want to congratulate Mihaela Georgieva on earning runner up. To our other interviewees, Sofia Hovorun, Zahraa Al Mhanna, Shoq Alhaddah and Amy Trimble, we applaud you on taking the initiative and challenging yourselves to do something new and out of your comfort zone.

Róisín will progress to the next round of interviews where she will compete with a rep from each of the local schools, to win a place in the European Youth Parliament Euroscola trip to Strasbourg.

If you see her, make sure to pass on your best wishes and luck for the day.

Thanks to Ms Quinn for her preparation of students for this event.
