The St.Louis senior Gaelic football team opened their campaign with an impressive victory over The Marist last Friday, playing in near perfect conditions. The team donned their fabulous new jerseys for this opening encounter and certainly looked the part. It was an all round team performance from defence to attack. Captain Aine Murray led by example at midfield and was ably assisted by Grace Hoey with Mollie Kirk, Shona Murray and Katie English all excelling in defence. The forward line had their shooting boots on with Ciara Whyte(2-2), Zoe Carolan(1-3), Aoibhinn Finnegan( 0-4), Zoe Treacy(0-1), Grace Hoey(0-3), Anna Mulholland(1-0)and Sophie Corcoran (0-6) all contributing some fine scores.
